Salam Diallo started music with Omar Pène's Super Diamono as a percussionist-dancer. In 1990, he joined The Lemzo Diamono as a percussionist and singer. (a group founded in Dakar by the excellent guitarist Lamine Faye). In 2001, he started his group, Nokoss Band, of which he is the conductor and lead vocal.
