Ndoda Russel Mthembu, popularly known as Russel Mthembu, is a South African singer, talented songwriter, and member of legendary South African a cappella group Ladysmith Black Mambazo. Rusel Mthembu, a friend of Joseph the founder of the choral group, joined the group in the late 70s as a bass singer and later changed to tenor. He has since remained a member of the choir contributed his powerful and soulful voice to many of their most memorable recordings.
