Safin De Coque, born Darlington A. Akanite, is a virtuoso Nigerian hip hop artist and the son of the late Nigerian highlife legend, Chief Oliver De Coque. His choice of music genre is hip hop and his hip hop-styled "Identity (Remix)" is his creative adaption of his father's late 1970s hit track "Funny Identity". He has released several singles as well as a couple of mixtapes. He continues to honor his father's legacy by promoting Nigerian music and culture through his music.
