Sam Mangwana is a Congolse rumba singer who has left his mark on soukous music. He began his professional career as the lead singer and arranger for Tabu Ley Rocherau's Africa Fiesta at the age of 17. He went on to perform with several well-known soukous bands, including L'Orchestre Tembo and Franco's TPOK Jazz, and gained popularity after releasing the hit song "Maria Tebba" in 1986. His music has been noted to address issues around love, oppression, optimism, and liberation.

His illustrious career began in 1970 with the band Manta Lokoka and included stints with Les Bantous de la Capitale and inspiration from Afrobeat in Nigeria. Tchico Tchicaya recorded successful albums, like "Mamy-Rosa" and "From Congo to Nigeria," achieving gold records. He ventured to Paris, formed various bands, and ultimately returned to lead "Maya-Maya Musica," nurturing Congolese music's legacy.

    Joseph Kiambukuta Londa, also known as Josky, was a Congolese musician, singer, songwriter, and composer. He began his musical career with African Fiesta Sukisa and later formed his own band, Orchestre Continental, where he recorded hits such as "Nakobondela". In 1973, he joined TPOK Jazz and contributed to the band's popularity by composing songs like "Chandra" and "Fariya".
