Samira Abdul Razzaq Bensaïd, popularly known as Samira Said, was born in 1958 in Rabat, Morocco. She began singing before she was ten and her talent was discovered when she contested on a Moroccan Tv music program. At the start of her music career, Samira moved to Egypt where her fame grew and spread to other Arab nations. Samira has recorded many Arabic hits. Aside singing, Samira is also involved in humanitarian work.
