He first gained recognition as a founding member of the award-winning group The Soil, where he showcased his unique vocal style and songwriting skills. His solo career expanded after his appearance on Sun-El Musician’s hit single “Akanamali,” which introduced him to a wider African audience. Samthing Soweto is known for blending Afro-pop, amapiano, jazz, and soul music with emotional storytelling and rich harmonies. Some of his popular songs include “Akulaleki,” “Amagents,” and “AmaDM.” His album Isphithiphithi received praise for its creative sound and lyrical depth.
