BioAshley Raphala, better known by his stage name Shimza, is a South African record producer, DJ, and entrepreneur. He was born in Swaziland and raised in Tembisa, South Africa. He began producing music at the age of 15, inspired by jazz and funk.
Signed to Soulistic Music in 2013, alongside Black Coffee and Culoe De Song, he's released hits like 'African Woman' and 'Akulalwa,' establishing himself as a top South African house music producer. His Afro-tech prowess, termed "Effect Master" and "Vinyl Assassin," features intricate queuing and looping, captivating audiences globally.
Beyond music, Shimza's achievements span DJ competition victories and his philanthropic One Man Show, which aids underprivileged children and creates jobs.
