BioHailing from London with a rich cultural background blending Bantu and Zimbabwean influences, Shingai Elizabeth Maria Shoniwa, or simply Shingai, is a Zimbabwean-British singer-songwriter, actress, and bassist recognized for her role in the English-indie rock band The Noisettes.
Despite her early aspirations in acting, she found her true passion in music, co-founding The Noisettes while attending the Brit School.
Beyond the band's success, Shangai marked her solo career with her debut EP, "Ancient Futures," in 2019, followed by her solo album "Too Bold" in 2020.
Her talents have graced prestigious platforms, including the 'Annual Hootenanny 2010' show on the BBC.
In addition to her musical pursuits, she serves as the CEO of Zimtrom Records, reflecting her entrepreneurial spirit in the music industry.
