Born Simisola Bolatiti Ogunleye, Simi is a Nigerian songwriter, actress, and one of the biggest Nigerian female musicians. Though she began writing songs and singing at age 10 in her church choir, Simi's break came in 2014 after she switched from gospel songs to secular. Her breakout singles were “Jamb Question” and “E No Go Funny." Simi has won several awards and nominations. She's considered one of the leading voices in contemporary Nigerian music and continues to release music that resonates with her fans.
