Msafiri Kondo, widely known as Solo Thang, is a Tanzanian rapper and singer who emerged in Dar es Salaam’s early 2000s music. He first drew attention through grassroots rap sessions and local competitions before carving out a solo path that set him apart amid the rise of Bongo Flava. His projects, including Homa ya Dunia and the song Kilio Changu, showed his preference for plainspoken lyrics and a blend of hip hop and Tanzanian melodic styles.
