Soungalo Coulibaly was a renowned Malian master drummer known for his exceptional talent and profound musicality. Starting with traditional drums at a young age, he discovered the mesmerizing sound of the djembe at a wedding celebration. Soungalo skillfully reproduced djembe rhythms on his drum, impressing the audience and embarking on a professional journey with the instrument. His passion grew as he cared for his mother and played with local djembefolas to cover medical expenses. In Bouake, he honed his skills and invented "Flez" music, fusing various instruments and traditions. Soungalo gained further recognition in Europe before tragically passing away, leaving a lasting legacy in the drumming world.
