Spikiri, whose real name is Mandla Daniel Mofokeng, is a prominent South African kwaito singer, producer, and musician. Initially, Spikiri began his journey as a dancer in 1985 before delving into music production. He worked with numerous artists, creating chart-topping hits that became popular in the kwaito genre. In 1995, Spikiri co-founded Trompies, a pioneering kwaito group in South Africa, where he became an integral member and together they produced numerous hits that became instant classics. While with the group, Spikiri also pursued a solo career and released several successful songs such as "Gangsta Party (2007)". He has earned multiple accolades and is recognized as one of South Africa's greatest kwaito musicians, inspiring upcoming artists in the genre.
