St Balikuddembe Mitala Maria is a celebrated Ugandan music ensemble based at St Balikuddembe S.S. in Mitala-Maria, Mpigi District. Founded in the early 1980s by headmaster Charles Ssebunnya, the group grew from a small school choir into a nationally recognized ensemble. Drawing from religious and traditional roots, they perform a blend of gospel, kadongo-kamu, and cultural music. The choir reflects the community spirit of the Mitala-Maria parish and has performed at national events, including the State House. Notable songs include “Ntambula Ngaludde” and “Kyenina,” with their rise boosting the school's image from obscurity to cultural prominence.
