Steve Newman is a South African acoustic guitarist who co-founded the popular African band Tananas. Newman has been working with fellow South African guitarist Tony Cox for thirty years. He's also a member of the Aquarian Quartet, which also includes Tony Cox, Syd Kitchen, Greg Georgiades, and Steve Newman. He was a part of Mondetta, a "world music group" with Gito Baloi (of Tananas) and Wendy Oldfield.
