He was a prominent figure in 20th-century Congolese music and African music in general, serving as the leader of TPOK Jazz for over 30 years. He is known as Franco Luambo or simply as Franco. His mastery of African Rumba earned him the nicknames "Sorcerer of the Guitar" and "Grand Master of Zairean Music" from admirers and critics, as well as "Franco de Mi Amor" from female devotees. Franco's charismatic stage presence and accessibility to the masses made him a beloved figure. Even after his passing, his legacy as a prominent African musician and political influencer continues to resonate across the continent.

    Théodore Dindo Mabeli, popularly known as Dindo Yogo, was a Congolese musician who was known for his smooth and infectious sound. He began his music career as a guitarist in various local bands. In 1978, Dindo Yogo joined Papa Wemba's band, Viva La Musica, where he quickly gained fame for his soulful voice and guitar skills. He left in 1981 alongside guitarists Popolipo Zanguila, Djuna Djanana, and Kisangani Djenga. They teamed up with the trio of Evoloko Jocker, Djo Mali, and Bozi Boziana to form the Langa Langa Stars. Dindo Yogo's music tackled issues such as corruption, poverty, and injustice in Congolese society. Dindo sadly passed away in 2000 at the age of 37.
