Teddy Sukami, whose real name is Albert José Sukami Landu, was a guitarist and prolific songwriter. He started his music career in Belguide, the ancestor of Zaiko Langa Langa, and later became a key member of Zaiko Langa Langa from 1969 to 1982. In 1978, he formed "The Blue Helmets" recording group, which included members from Zaiko Langa Langa, and released the cult song "Bongo Bouger" under the name of Zaiko Langa Langa. In 1981, he co-founded the "Mandinga" orchestra in France with Mbuta Mashakado and Julien Mboma. Teddy Sukami contributed greatly to the Kinshasa music scene with his successful titles, including his 1975 hit "Elo". He passed away in Caen, France on February 26, 1986.
