He was born on December 22, 1970, and tragically passed away on October 31, 1998. As the brother of Kwaito icon Arthur Mafokate, Makhendlas entered the music scene during his brother's reign in Kwaito. In 1995, he released his self-titled album through Arthur's label, 999 Music, gaining attention with hits like "Makhendlas." Subsequent works, including "Jawaleng" (1997) and "Jammer" (1998), featuring the nationwide hit "Eminwe," further solidified his impact. Makhendlas' life came to a tragic end in 1998 with a self-inflicted gunshot after an altercation with an intoxicated fan at a concert.
