    Ntimbani Joseph William Shirimani, born in 1968 and popularly known as Joe Shirimani, is a South African xitsonga singer and record producer from Pretoria, Gauteng province. Launching his career with the disco debut "Black Is Beautiful" in 1992, Shirimani gained acclaim. He produced platinum-certified albums for artists like Esta M and played a pivotal role in discovering and creating Penny Penny's multi-platinum "Shaka Bundu." After a hiatus, he returned with Bangoni Bandawu, introducing new talents. Winning accolades, including the Xitsonga Music Awards and South African Traditional Music Awards, Shirimani's 2013 album "Ka Tika" achieved significant success in Xitsonga Traditional music, solidifying his impact in the genre.

Mawillies' music often addresses social issues and promotes cultural pride. His debut album, "Intwenjani", was released in 1997 and was a commercial success. He released eight albums: Intwenjan, Liya Khuzikhehla, Hoezet, Ke Tswere Lotto and Kwaito Graduation in total before his demise in 2008. Mawillies is regarded as one of the pioneers of Kwaito music and was recognized his contributions to the kwaito genre.

As the brother of Kwaito icon Arthur Mafokate, Makhendlas entered the music scene during his brother's reign in Kwaito. In 1995, he released his self-titled album through Arthur's label, 999 Music, gaining attention with hits like "Makhendlas." Subsequent works, including "Jawaleng" (1997) and "Jammer" (1998), featuring the nationwide hit "Eminwe," further solidified his impact. Makhendlas' life came to a tragic end in 1998 with a self-inflicted gunshot after an altercation with an intoxicated fan at a concert.
