Titi, whose real name is Ndeye Fatou Tine, is a Senegalese singer. Her stage name, "Titi," is derived from a nickname her uncle gave her when she was a young girl. She started out as a dancer, but Youssou N'Dour inspired her to become a singer. She danced alongside Papa Ndiaye Thiou and participated in music videos for Senegalese musicians, including El Hadji Faye and Pape Djiby Ba. She began singing with Fatamba Kuyetah (a Guinean living in Senegal) and has since worked with a variety of other singers. Her fame goes beyond Senegal, and she is particularly popular in The Gambia.
