    Mose Se Sengo, known affectionately as Fanfan, was a legendary Congolese rumba musician, guitarist, composer, and bandleader. His journey in shaping Congolese Soukous began as a teenage guitarist, and he later contributed his talents to bands such as the Jazz Barons and Orchestre Revolution. Under the mentorship of the late Congolese rumba maestro Franco Luambo Makiadi, Fanfan emerged on the music scene in 1968. He continued to leave his mark through his involvement with Lovy du Zaire and the formation of his band, Somo Somo, in the late 1970s. Despite his impactful contributions, his life was tragically cut short in 2019.

    Charles Lassa, also known as Carlyto, is a Congolese musician and songwriter, who began his music career at age 17. He was discovered by the baritone Gérard Madiata and later worked with guitarist Lutumba Simaro. Carlyto collaborated with "Ok Jazz" as non-band member and later joined the Choc Star orchestra where he recorded several successful songs with them. In the 90s, he settled in Paris and recorded a solo album. Carlyto became a Christian preacher and his last recorded album was in 2001.

    Awilo Longomba is a popular Congolese musician. His father was a lead singer and founder of Tout Puissant OK Jazz, and Awilo grew up around music. He started drumming for groups in Kinshasa, joined Viva La Musica, and moved to France to pursue his career. Awilo is popular in Africa and internationally, with hit songs like "Coupe Bibamba" and "Karolina." He has collaborated with various African artists, won the Best Soukous Entertainer Award, and worked with modern-day musicians like P-Square and Yemi Alade.

    Siphiwe Mpamile, known by his stage name Brown Dash, was not just another Kwaito artist but a true fairy tale. He gained recognition for singing alongside the masked artist Mzekezeke on the double platinum debut album, performing the hit single "Sguqa Ngamadolo" in 2002. Despite criticism from some music critics who dismissed the album as nonsense, it sold over 100,000 copies, outselling many respected artists. Additionally, the album was nominated for Best Kwaito Album at the 9th South African Music Awards. Before that, Brown Dash played a significant role in Mapaputsi's award-winning album, Izinja. Unfortunately, he passed away in 2012 at Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital.
