Tobe Nwigwe is a Houston-based rapper and singer known for his inspirational messages and unique blend of African rhythms, hip-hop, and spoken-word poetry. He gained recognition for his singles in 2014 before becoming highly prolific in 2017 with releases such as "Tobe from the Swat" and two mixtapes. His 2020 single "Try Jesus" went viral and reached number four on Billboard's R&B Digital Song Sales chart. Nwigwe has been featured on NPR's Tiny Desk Concert series and has released numerous albums and EPs.
