BioBabatunde Abdulrafiu, known as Tunde King, was a Nigerian musician who pioneered the Jùjú music genre from the 1930s to 1950s and also, a banjo player.
He was born in Lagos in 1910 and gained fame for his improvisational skills and unique voice.
Tunde King released several hit songs, including "African Mere," and was highly regarded in Nigeria and other West African countries.
He passed away in 1980, but his legacy as a pioneering musician and influence on Jùjú music lives on.
