In 1974, he founded the band "Sweet Beans" and recorded the debut album "False Lover." Later, he ventured to Europe, performing across the continent with his band, the Anabos. Notably, he is the father of Ghanaian artist Nana Yaa. Thomas remains a prominent figure in Ghanaian highlife, contributing significantly to the genre's evolution.
