Bio
Victories Vilakazi-Mol, better known as Vicky Vilakazi, is a celebrated South African singer, composer, and entrepreneur with over three decades in the music industry. She began her career in the 1990s as a backing vocalist for Benjamin Dube, later performing with legends like Hugh Masekela, Miriam Makeba, and Michael Jackson. Vicky played a key role in founding gospel groups, such as Family Factory, Joyous Celebration, and the Grammy-winning Soweto Gospel Choir. She also co-founded the internationally touring Soweto Spiritual Singers, a group dedicated to showcasing African spirituality through music. A KORA and SAMA Award nominee, Vicky is co-director of Vilakazi Entertainment Group and co-owner of Isicholo Entertainment. Her music career includes co-writing the 2010 FIFA World Cup theme song with R. Kelly and producing her album Zion-Jerusalem. She also founded the Vicky’s Children of Africa Foundation to support vulnerable children across the continent.
