Bio
Victor Démé, also called Démé, was a Burkinabe musician and songwriter. Démé had no formal education training as his father, a tailor-embroiderer, wanted him to take up his trade but the young lad had a contrary opinion. Inspired by his griot-grandmother, he loved music and decided to abandon his father's dreams for him. Scorned by his family, friends, and neighbors, Démé still followed his dream of becoming a musician and surely, there was light at the end of his tunnel
