BioWanda Baloyi, a South African Afro-soul and R&B singer, DJ, and musician from Mozambique descent, inherited her musical talent from her father, Jaco Maria, the lead singer of the popular 80s band Ozila.
Wanda first gained recognition while still in high school as the lead singer of the girl-group Ghetto Luv in 2001.
In 2003, she released her first solo album 'Voices', which won her a KORA Award in 2004 and earned her two SAMA nominations and a Channel O music video nomination in 2005 and 2006. She has since released numerous successful singles and albums and remains a prominent figure in the South African music industry known for her dynamic performances and soulful voice.
