This Ethiopian/Eritrean singer-songwriter and Heart Lake Records Inc. CEO weaves hip-hop, jazz, and soul with her wife and partner, SUN SUN’s production to create unique musical expressions.
With a robust discography, Witch Prophet has shared stages with Sudan Archives, JPEGMAFIA, and Shabazz Palaces, and toured Europe, including Paris and Berlin. Her festival roster boasts the Montreal Jazz Festival, SXSW, and New Skool Rules.
Her sophomore album "D.N.A Activation" earned a Polaris Music Prize nomination, and her video for "Tesfay" was nominated at the UKMVA’s. Her 2023 album "Gateway Experience" delved into the human brain and dreams, earning another Polaris longlisting.
