Xlimkid (born Henry Kwame Boakye) is a Ghanaian rapper, singer, songwriter, and producer known for blending trap, hip‑hop, Highlife, Reggae, and Afro-trap. Born in Accra and raised in Kumasi, he discovered his passion for music in his early teens, developing a natural ear for melodies and storytelling.
He began releasing music around 2021, gaining attention with emotionally charged tracks like “Journey” and “Before I Go”. In 2022, his debut single “Alone” brought significant recognition, while the 2023 EP "Pain in Glory" with O’Kenneth, featuring the viral “Lonely Road”, solidified his breakthrough.
Tracks like “Valley of Trappers” (feat. Sarkodie) expanded his presence across African hip‑hop. Selected for Apple Music’s Up Next Ghana in 2024, he continues to release music, including “BETRAYED” and “Silly Introvert” (2026) from his EP "L.O.T.E." Signed to Crux Global and Sony Music Entertainment Africa, Xlimkid is celebrated for dynamic performances and strong audience connection.
