Youngboi OG, born Geraldo Gershwin Saal in September 2007 in Springbok, South Africa, is a rapper, singer, and songwriter who grew up in Aggeneys in the Northern Cape. He developed an early interest in music and began creating songs as a teenager, building his sound through digital platforms and self-expression.
He began gaining attention in 2023 with early releases, and in 2024 rose to wider recognition with the single “How can I love?”, which became one of his most popular tracks. The song featured on his EP The One Piece of Me You Didn’t Know Exists, helping establish his presence in South African hip hop.
In 2026, he released the EP Good Vibes Over Bad Vibes, showing a more energetic and upbeat direction. Later that year, he followed with his third album, Young Rich ’N Turnt, featuring tracks such as “Hit That!” and further expanding his growing catalog and audience.
