Bio
Tebogo Ndlovu, known by his stage name Zombo, was a South African musician who rose to fame in the 1990s. As a rapper for the kwaito group Abashante, Zombo's energetic performances alongside vocalists Nestum and Queen Sesako captivated audiences. Though he joined after their platinum-selling debut album "Girls" in 1996, Zombo's contribution helped propel the group to continued success with albums like "Settlin' The Score" and "Ayoyo." After Abashante, Zombo pursued solo projects and even founded his own record label, but success proved elusive. However, his 2003 solo album "Zombo" garnered a Best Rap Album nomination at the South African Music Awards. Sadly, the music world lost Zombo in 2008 at the young age of 28.
