BioéVoid was a prominent South African afro-rock, pop, jive, dance, and punk band in the 1980s. Originally known as Void, the band was founded in 1977 by key members and brothers Lucien and Erik Windrich. Their self-titled debut album was released in South Africa in 1983, and it achieved great chart success. The band would perform with painted faces, tribal dances, and jive beats known as 'ethnotronics'. They adopted the stage name éVoid in 1982. They gained popularity and attention as a result of their amazing live performances and guerilla style.
