BioThe Les Grands Maquisards orchestra came into existence in 1969, founded by Ntesa Dalienst, Dizzy Mandjeku, Lokombe, and Diana. This happened due to the dissolution of the Festival des Maquisards orchestra, which had been established a year earlier with the participation of Sam Mangwana and Vangu Guivano. The Grands Maquisards achieved significant popularity, known for songs such as "Confessions," "Biki," "Ida," "Toko senge na nzambe," and "Jaria." Ntesa Dalienst began the creation of Les Grands Maquisards following the split from the orchestra he had previously established with Sam Mangwana.
