BioMad Melon and Mountain Black, also known as Oghenemaro Emeofa and Jimoh Olotu, were a Nigerian music duo that rose to fame in the early 2000s. Hailing from the Ajegunle area of Lagos, the duo started as Danfo drivers before they were discovered by a music company. Their hit song "Danfo Driver," released in 2003, catapulted them into the limelight and became a nationwide sensation.
Tracks like "Sensimilla," and "Kpolongo" further solidified their position as trailblazers in the Nigerian music scene.
Unfortunately, Mad Melon passed away on September 25, 2019, after a brief illness, leaving behind a void in the Nigerian music industry. Mountain Black, however, continues to carry their legacy forward. With their unique style and catchy tunes, Mad Melon and Mountain Black left an indelible mark on the Nigerian music scene, and their music continues to be cherished by fans to this day.
