BioUbulu International Band of Nigeria was a highlife music group formed in the early 1970s by Chief Augustine Ojinji, popularly known as King Ubulu or Love A.U., alongside Agu Risky and other musicians. Ubulu, who trained as a shoemaker and owned a record store in Amorji-Onicha, Delta State, was a skilled highlife musician and was often called upon to perform at various ceremonies. The group released their first LP, Ukwuani Special, in 1976 and went on to release several other albums. In 1983, the group recruited Charlie Boogie from Cameroon, who added an energetic element to their live performances. The 1986 album Onyebu Uwa Nishi saw Ubulu warning against those who would try to copy his musical technique, which he claimed came from water. King Ubulu passed away in late 2004 but remains an important figure in the development of Anioma highlife music in Nigeria.
