BioBig NUZ is a Kwaito trio from South Africa, established in 2002.
Composed of Mampintsha, R. Mashesha, and Danger.
"Big NUZ" was inspired by "NUZ," the number plate prefix for vehicles registered in Umlazi.
Hits like "Ngeke," "Zozo," "Umlazi Uyahlaba," and "Abashana Base Afro" propelled them to national fame, earning multiple nominations and awards.
Tragedy struck the group in 2015 with the loss of R. Mashesha due to an undisclosed illness.
In 2022, the group faced another devastating blow when Mampintsha died from a stroke. Despite these losses, Danger continues to honor their legacy, keeping their music alive through performances and the 2022 album "R Mashesha," a heartfelt tribute to his bandmates. Big Nuz's impact extends beyond chart-topping hits.
They served as role models for aspiring musicians, inspiring a generation with their talent and dedication. Today, their music continues to resonate with fans across generations, solidifying their status as true icons of South African music.
