BioBlack Motion is a South African house music duo founded by Murdah Bongz (Robert Mahosana) and Thabo (Roy Thabo Mabogwane). They released their first single, "Banane Mavoko," in 2010 to critical acclaim and followed it up with their debut album, "Talking to the Drums," a year later. Years later, Murder Bongz left the group to pursue a solo career and was replaced by Kabelo Koma also known as Problem Child Ten83. The band, which cites Fela Kuti, Mariam Makeba, and Hugh Masekela as influences, is the recipient of several awards, including the 2015, 2017, and 2021 SAMAs for Best Dance Album.
