BioBlack Savage was an Afro-Rock/psychedelic funk band from Nairobi, Kenya, that emerged in the 1970s. Comprising young college-aged Kenyans, including Barrack Achieng on bass, Job Seda on percussion, Noel Drury Sanyanafwa on drums, Jack Odongo on keyboards, and Gordon Ominde (Golden Simone) on guitar, the group released their music on an LP and three singles from the mid-'70s to the early '80s. Unfortunately, their music has been unavailable since then. The band's formative years, during which its members first connected in secondary school in Nairobi, are vividly recounted in the liner notes of Afro7's 2018 reissue compilation.
