Their journey commenced with "Shrappers," a unique genre that melds Sheng rap with popular music. The group's name pays homage to their place of origin, Buruburu estate. The Buruklyn Boyz are credited with introducing the Driller rap sound to Kenya, and their lineup includes Ajay, Mr. Right, Telvol Telvin 400, Mr. Brown, Young Louie, Ali Buddz, and Dencho.
