BioFrom Mauritius, Cassiya is a Sega music band founded in 1998 and the founder and CEO of Cassiya Productions. The members of the group are: Désiré François, Alain La Fleur, Gérard Louis, Bruno François, Silvio Ravina (deceased), Damien Elisa (left group), and Alain Ramanisum (left group for a solo career). The band, amongst other Mauritius music ensembles, rose to prominence not only in Mauritius but also in Reunion Island in the 1990s.
