BioCutt Glas is an Afrikaans a cappella group from South Africa, formed on April 1, 1990. Over the years, the lineup has shifted, especially as the group evolved musically and expanded its reach.
The founding members included Karen Meiring, Bondina Osterhoff, Shireen Hollier, Annie Harvey, Jann Roberts, Lydia vom Hagen, and Billi-Jean Parker. By 2010, the group’s formation featured Karen Meiring (soprano), Bondina Osterhoff (alto), Rozelle Blackie, Mabet van Wyk, Karen Wessels, and Steffie le Roux. Rozelle Blackie joined in 2003, while Karen Wessels became part of the group in 2005.
Cutt Glas is recognised for its vocal arrangements and reinterpretations of well-known songs such as “Rum and Coca-Cola” and “I Love You Always Forever,” performed in their signature harmony-driven style.
In 2001, the group was awarded a Geraas Music Award for Best Humorous Album, marking a notable highlight in their career.
