BioDave Matthews Band, formed in 1991 in Charlottesville by Dave Matthews, Carter Beauford, Stefan Lessard, LeRoi Moore, and Boyd Tinsley, is renowned for blending rock, folk, jazz, and improvisational jam elements.
The band built a devoted following through dynamic live shows, extended jams, and relentless touring, selling millions of records and over 25 million concert tickets. Albums such as Under the 'Table and Dreaming" (1994) and "Crash" (1996) defined the band’s early sound, while later works like "Big Whiskey" & the "GrooGrux King" (2009) and "Come Tomorrow" (2018) highlighted their musical evolution.
The band earned a Grammy for “So Much to Say” (1996), seven consecutive No. 1 Billboard 200 debuts, and induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame (2024).
