BioDeep Purple are an English hard rock and heavy metal band formed in March 1968 by guitarist Ritchie Blackmore, vocalist Rod Evans, keyboardist Jon Lord, drummer Ian Paice, and bassist Nick Simper. From the beginning, the group developed a powerful sound built around guitar, keyboards, bass, drums, and vocals, helping shape the foundations of modern hard rock and heavy metal.
Across more than five decades, Deep Purple have sold over 120 million albums worldwide, placing them among the highest-selling rock bands in history. Their catalog has continued to expand through releases on earMUSIC, including “Guilt Trippin’” and “Diablo,” with producer Bob Ezrin contributing to their later studio work. The band received the Legend Award at the 2008 World Music Awards and was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2016.
