BioDie Heuwels Fantasties is a South African Afrikaans alternative pop and rock band from Bellville, Western Cape. Formed around 2007–2008, the group brought together members from established Afrikaans rock acts to explore a more electronic and melodic direction, combining rock songwriting with synth-driven production.
The core lineup includes Hunter Kennedy, Pierre Greeff, Fred den Hartog, and Sheldon Yoko, with earlier involvement from Johnny de Ridder and other collaborators linked to the Bellville music circle.
Their self-titled debut album "Die Heuwels Fantasties" was released in 2009 through their label Supra Familias, introducing a self-managed creative approach that continued across their career.
In 2011, they released "Wilder as die Wildtuin," which expanded their reach across Afrikaans radio and festival circuits, followed by a steady run of albums and EPs.
The group continues to operate through independent releases, live performances, and collaborations within the South African music landscape and ongoing catalogue availability across digital platforms today
