BioIn September 1982, the "Grand Orchestra Momekano" was established in Pointe-Noire under the leadership of Serge Diafouka. This band quickly garnered the trust and admiration of the Montenegrin public, leading to their debut 33-cm record at the IAD studio in Brazzaville. The album showcased the exceptional talent of these unpredictable yet highly inspired musicians. The GO Momekano demonstrated Pointe-Noire's ability to bring together top-tier, seasoned, and gifted musicians, featuring talents like Lutumba-Lomango, San Martin, Elba Kuluma (vocals), and more. Their breakthrough occurred with hit songs such as "Diafouka," "Kara Kara," and "Liwa ya ngungi," propelling them to the top of the Congolese hit parade in 1985 and solidifying their status as musical pioneers.
