BioK-South was a prominent Kenyan hip-hop duo comprised of Tim Kimani, known as Bamboo, and Jerry Manzekele, known as Doobeez, now recognized as "Abbas Kubaff." They came together in 1995 and achieved acclaim with their debut album "Nairoberry," which was released in 2002 through Samawati Studios. The album featured some of their earliest hits, notably "Tabia Mbaya."
However, the duo disbanded in 2005 due to Bamboo's departure from the group after he embraced Christianity and ventured into gospel music.
