BioKayamba Africa, a Kenyan music group, originated at Kenyatta University by Juma Odemba, alongside Moses Ekirapa and Argwings Kodhek. Following their formation, the group auditioned for a local entertainment star search, which boosted their performance opportunities. Soon after, Simon Ngigi (tenor), Antony Ondeng (bassist), and Patrick Ondondo became part of the ensemble. By 2023, Kayamba Africa had released their fourth album, "Dhahabu," building on the success of their earlier projects like "Kayamba Africa Vol. 1" (DVD), "Simba," "Sherehe," and "Kayamba Africa." These recordings showcase remarkable vocals, percussion, and instrumentation, creating a blend that has earned them numerous traditional music nominations, Kora Awards nominations, extensive national press coverage, and global recognition, with their music reaching audiences globally.
