BioKlipwerf Orkes is an iconic South African band that has anchored traditional Boeremusiek and popular Afrikaans dance music since 1969. Formed in Calvinia by Hentie Visagie, his sons Johann and Kobus, and neighbor Nicol Louw, the group initially performed live at weddings, parties, and regional festivals. Remarkably, the ensemble performed for nearly two decades before releasing their 1988 debut studio project, "Kom Kuier in die Hantam". Driven by the energetic rhythm of the Vastrap tempo, they became a commercial phenomenon, generating over one million record sales with chart-topping albums like "Hantam Vrolikheid" and their award-winning "Hantam Carnival". They are highly celebrated for definitive instrumental hits such as "Klipwerf Vastrap", "Boesmanland", and "Jampot Polka". Today, their legacy continues through current members Kobus Visagie (keyboard), Genè van Niekerk (keyboard), Johnny Dreyer (drums), and Willie Burger (guitar), remaining South Africa's most popular Boeremusiek orchestra
