BioLARK, also written as Lark, is a South African glitch electronica band founded in 2003 by Inge Beckmann and Paul Ressel. The other two band members are Simon "Fuzzy" Ratcliffe and Sean Ou Tim.
Their music is a mix of electronic, rock, and avant-garde, with Beckmann's haunting vocals often manipulated with effects and layered over glitchy beats and atmospheric soundscapes.
Known for their high energy and theatrical live shows, LARK has released several critically acclaimed albums, including "Razbliuto" and "Mouth of Me."
LARK disbanded temporarily in 2008 and reunited in 2009.
The band's striking visual aesthetic features surreal imagery in their music videos and album artwork.
Beckmann is also a well-known visual artist, with her artwork exhibited in galleries worldwide.
LARK's innovative sound and boundary-pushing approach to music have made them one of South Africa's most exciting and original bands, continuing to push the boundaries of electronic music and performance.
