BioHélène and Célia Faussart, born in Paris but raised in both France and Chad, are the musical force behind Les Nubians. Their "Afropean" sound blends R&B, African rhythms, and neo soul, reflecting their bicultural background. Les Nubians started with acappella performances and poetry slams before blossoming into a full-fledged duo. Their 1998 debut, Princesses Nubiennes, launched them to critical acclaim, including a Grammy nomination and Soul Train Lady of Soul Award.
