BioMigos, the Atlanta hip-hop trio of Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff, helped push trap music from the Southern underground into the global mainstream and beyond. Formed in 2008 in Lawrenceville, Georgia, the family-connected group first gained attention through mixtapes including No Label and No Label II before breaking through with “Versace” in 2013.
Their debut album, “Yung Rich Nation,” arrived in 2015, followed by Culture, Culture II, and Culture III. “Bad and Boujee,” featuring Lil Uzi Vert, became their first Billboard Hot 100 No. 1, while Culture also topped the Billboard 200. The group earned four BET Awards for Best Group and two Grammy nominations in 2018 for Culture and “Bad and Boujee.”
Migos remained active through 2022, releasing Culture III in 2021 and performing together before Takeoff’s death in November 2022. Quavo and Offset later reunited to honor him, while their individual careers continued to expand the group’s legacy.
