BioLe Negro Band is a Congolese musical group that was formed in 1958 in Brazzaville by Max Massengo. The line-up of the band included Max Massengo, Pierre Loukouamoussou, Terzieff Diop, Willy Stany, Nguema Nini, Louvouezo Grégoire, Robert Massengo, Tombe Rubin Major, and vocalists Démon Kasanaut, Maurice M'bongolo, Jean-Marie Foussikou, and Michel Boyibanda, who later formed Ryco Jazz. The band's music is a fusion of traditional Congolese rhythms, Latin influences, and jazz elements. Le Negro Band became famous for their exceptional clarinet and sax leads, and their sound dominated the African music scene in the 60s. The band recorded at the Esengo studio, where they were a house band alongside Rock'a Mambo. Le Negro Band gained international fame in 1968 when they took Paris by storm, performing on television and recording their classic album "A TOUT CASSER". Today, Le Negro Band's legacy lives on, and their music continues to inspire and influence African music.
